The Medway Fire Department is proud to provide high-quality Emergency Medical Services to the residents and visitors of our community. Our EMS team is made up of licensed Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) and experienced firefighters who respond 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to medical emergencies, accidents, and critical incidents.
When you call 9-1-1, our EMS personnel respond quickly to deliver compassionate, skilled care. We are trained to handle a wide range of medical emergencies—from cardiac events and traumatic injuries to pediatric care and respiratory issues. Each member of our team is committed to treating every patient with respect, dignity, and professionalism.
Medway Fire Department is a licensed transporting ambulance service. This means we not only provide immediate care at the scene but also ensure safe, efficient transport to area hospitals for further treatment. We work closely with receiving facilities and regional partners to provide continuity of care every step of the way.
Our EMTs and Firefighter/EMTs maintain certifications through the State of Maine EMS system and train regularly to keep current with the latest medical protocols. This includes advanced coursework in cardiac care, trauma management, and life-saving interventions. We also participate in ongoing quality improvement to ensure our service meets or exceeds state and federal standards.
Beyond responding to emergencies, Medway Fire Department EMS is dedicated to community health and safety. We support public education, provide standby medical coverage at community events, and partner with surrounding towns to strengthen regional emergency response.
